OUR STORY
TAKING TAEKWONDO INTO THE DIGITAL WORLD
What started out as a dialogue between a Master and a student evolved into a tangible reality. This conversation started at a local Taekwondo tournament, and the two discussed the absence of a dedicated Taekwondo PSS System in every dojang and the potential impact it could have on the sport, elevating Taekwondo to a new level. Additionally, they considered how such a system would aid in both retaining current students and attracting new ones.
What they discovered was that the existing Taekwondo PSS System price were too expensive for the typical school owner. With current systems priced in the upwards of $5,000 to $6,000, they were not financially viable. Shortly thereafter, they brought a Master from the West Coast into the team. This marked the beginning of the collaboration with Leda Sports Technology, which allowed us to address a void that was hindering the advancement of Taekwondo.
Our findings revealed that Taekwondo remained largely in an analog state for players below the black belt level. The color belt community has been left out of the club, yet they are the largest percentage of the Taekwondo community. This is how our journey started, and we are pleased and thankful that we identified a problem and took steps to develop solutions in partnership with Leda Sports Technology. We are pleased to introduce our solution an affordable Electronic Taekwondo Scoring System.
